The White Lion is a unique live music bar and hostel that is the home for the charity Music4Children.
Not only do we have live music, we have a backpackers' hostel upstairs, run free educational and creative workshops for local children in 'The Stables' - a converted room at the back of the pub, host community meetings and projects, comedy nights, theatre, film nights, cabaret and much more!
We host music 7 nights a week in the bar -
Monday - Open Mic Night
Tuesday - The Hidden Movement House Band Jam Night
Wednesday - Acoustic Night
Thursday/Friday/Saturday - Live Bands
Sunday - Jazz or Acoustic sessions
We encourage unsigned and local bands covering all genres - from rock to jazz to world music to ska to folk... everything is welcome.
