About The Shildon Civic Hall was officially opened on 20th July, 1973 and is in a central position, with access from Main Street.

It was built to contribute to and foster the social and recreational activities of the community and has become a focus for community life and a highly regarded music venue in the north east of England.

The Civic Hall consists of a bar/lounge, restaurant and main hall. The bar/lounge and restaurant are open every evening and Sunday lunchtime for the provision of freshly cooked meals at competitive prices.
