Jon Kendall is an amazing acoustic talent based in Milton Keynes. Jon’s influences are based on a variety of artists ranging from James Morrison to Bon Jovi to Bob Dylan to achieve his fantastic diverse sound. Jon is backed by vocalist Amy Fokkens whose harmonies are second to none.
Lyrically Jon tends to write from his own personal experiences of life, love, loss and happy moments combining emotional tunes with heartfelt lyrics. Jon believes that "music takes words to a place where mere words can't go alone".
Over the last year, Jon has been very busy playing alongside many prestigious artists and venues around the country. Artists include supporting Toploader at The Stables and after this gig, Jon was subsequently invited back to perform as the headliner act. He has also performed alongside Mark Morriss from The Bluetones in London. Like many others, Jon believes music is an emotional experience and always hopes to engage people somehow in this way through each live performance.
Jon regularly performs up and down the country and has appeared at the Punk Bar in Soho, 229 Club in Great Portland Street and also frequently performs at the Living Room venues in Oxford, Milton Keynes and London. Festivals also play a major part of Jon’s musical life and he has played at various festivals including Roadmender in Northampton and IF Festival, Campbell Park in Milton Keynes.
Currently working on a number of songs, Jon will soon be releasing ‘Caterpillars and Butterflies’ on a collaboration album with a number of artists which will be out later this year!
