The Machines are a classic UK Punk, Rock 'n' Roll band formed in 1977 in the amphetamine rush of Punk, split in '78 and then regenerated in 2006. The band all grew up listening to The New York Dolls and The Stooges and find this aesthetic still informs their sound. They add their own touch to it and then create the unique Machines sound. The band love the short, sharp shock blitzkreig of The Ramones and this too feeds into the Machines mix, helping to create a powerful live alchemy. An album is planned in 2010 containing all the recorded Machines material so far and will hopefully be released later in the year.

Stephen 'Tash' Reddihough provides a solid anchor in the band and perfectly locks in with drummer Steve, creating a very powerful rhythmic underpinning to compliment Nick's incendiary playing.

Steve Machine provides the bands heart beat and helps keeps the spirit of Jerry Nolan-Tommy Ramone blitzkreig style drumming alive, live he propels the band to the outer reaches of sonic possibilities.

The band originally formed in 1977, split in '78 then regenerated in 2006.

Punk, Rock 'n' Roll in the tradition of The Stooges, The New York Dolls, The Ramones, The Heartbreakers

What live experience have you had?

We have played venues all over the UK

What are the most recent venues you have played at?

Chinnerys + Club Riga in Southend, The Volks Bar in Brighton, The BridgeHouse 2 in London, The Rebellion Festival in Blackpool

Do you have any Music or Merchandise for sale?

An album is due out later this year.

How much notice would you need to attend an event?

Our record so far is 3 hours notice when asked to play the BH2, so try us!

Do you have a lot of fans that attend your gigs?

Like all bands, it varies - with plenty of advance publicity we've been known to do well!
