The history : Basically formed around June 2008 in Eccles whilst putting a band together to perform at the Monton Music Fest. After the Fest the band stayed together and played various local venues and festivals including the Party in The Park, The Rock Fest, and the Roadhouse in down town Manchester. Since then the band have focussed on new material in readiness for an Album release later in 2009. A four track CD is now available including the possible title track for the new Album 'MELTDOWN'.

Gigs : The 'Launch' gig was at The Duke of York pub in Eccles, Sunday 5th July, where the band played in very warm intimate surroundings to a packed local partisan audience. (The band rehearse at the Duke, and are grateful to the owners for their help over the past 12 months.) The set included all the tracks from the forthcoming new Album to be released later in the year. A 4 track CD is available to buy now, together with Sugarwood logo'd T-shirts (see logo above). The band played the 'Party in the Park', Whit lane, Pendleton, Salford, early in August and played at the Thirsty Scholar in Manchetser., and a great new music venue at The Crescent Pub, opposite the University in Salford. The band during August, are concentrating on recording the album, and preparing for the ACDAEMY 3 gig on Sunday 6th September.

Exposure : Salford Music TV filmed the band 'live' at rehearsals and is now available to view online www.salfordmusictv.com . Salford Museum have currently on show an exhibition entitled 'Riffs, Quiffs, and Tiffs', which is running until early 2010, and has memories of all things musically Salford and well worth a visit. Sugarwood are preparing material to enter the exhibition, and Sugarwood CD's and T-shirts are available from the museum shop. The band has launched their 4 track CD and forthcoming album with 'Irwell Delta Records', a Salford based record label. Salford City Radio have had the lads in the studio with presenter Ian Rothwell, where acoustic tracks were put down 'live' and played on Ian's show, together with an interview. The lads are on SALFORD CITY RADIO 94.4FM again coutesy of Ian Rothwell, are also being interviewed by Brinner on PURE FM 107.8 Radio (based in Stockport), when the the show will go out over a 4 week period, including the band taking part in the 'Never mind the Fuzzbox' quiz. The band will shortly be featured on Channel M TV.
