Runfever were formed in the summer of 2009 by main songwriter David Kline and keyboard player Matt Sheath. The two had previously worked together as a duo, playing a mixture of originals and covers in pubs in and around Ealing, before deciding to expand the sound, ditch the covers and form a full band. After a couple of false starts the present line-up was established, with each band member bringing with them a wealth of musical experience encompassing a wide range of styles. It's with this background that the band aim to bring the sounds of classic new wave, funk and soul to a contemporary setting, both live and in the studio.
