Cam is a singer-songwriter with a wide range of influences from Jeff Buckley to Sixteen horsepower.

Born in Amsterdam in 1971, I began playing music at the age of ten. I started out with violin lessons but at sixteen took up the guitar and started singing and writing songs. Out of the grim circumstances of my youth I emerged somewhat timid and it took me a long time of writing and practicing to be able to actually play the songs I write. In the meantime I made my living playing music on the streets and travelling around western Europe. I named my alterego Cam after getting to know the works of Camille Claudel, a french sculptress of the nineteenth century.
