We are APE! A 4 piece outfit of misfits, we play and record our own music in a place called St Austell, in Cornwall. (SW England) Our recording skills are self taught and as the results show, you don't have to have all the equipment to show off good musicians!

We record all of our tracks on a digital ten track recorder check them out! The band consists of Jay Furze (Vocals), Dan Jones (Bass), Nick Clarke (Guitars) and Darren Page (Drums).

We are currently rehearsing and writing new material for the second 10 track bootleg cd as we already have one up for sale now. A while ago we were approached to take part in a voting system to win the chance to go on tour in the U.S, The Company involved in setting this up is Avalon Global Promotions. They are calling it Avalon Bands of the World Tour 2007. Out of over 500 bands that were scouted and entered into the voting system, we managed to come 4th, thus booking our place on the tour.

Unfortunately we were unable to go because of complications with homeland security, and visa's which were not properly thought out by Avalon, still the achievment was there for all to see. Since the Avalon World Tour has come about, we have been promoting ourselves from Cornwall to Scotland and back again , getting the story of Ape into local papers and radio; where we have received plenty of reviews, including UK Rox magazine, and in 2008, we will have reviews from 24/7 Magazine , GO2 Magazine, and Devon Music guide, plus many more, so keep a look out for those.

We have even formed a surf team to help us spread the word! We have also managed to make a lot of good contacts and friends in the USA who can't wait to hook up with APE for what will be a real life experience.

As we are an original band, we are always looking to broaden our scope on gigs, and look to play all the major cities in the UK, and even Europe given the opportunity . Music is what we are and what we do, so if you like what you hear, and see, we would love to have the opportunity to work with someone who loves it as we do to push us to where we want to go!
